Barbara Warren

Memorial services for Barbara Celia Warren of Grass Valley will be conducted on July 12.

Mrs. Warren died Friday, Feb. 11, in Grass Valley. She was 71.

She was born April 22, 1933, in Yreka, to Lena Emma Orcutt and Earl Sterling Boeson. She attended Nevada City High School. She married Louis Paul Warren on July 12, 1954, in Reno, Nev. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Women of the Moose during the 1970s. She enjoyed sewing, computer, and Native American research.



She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Williams and Ron Dey of Grass Valley, and Bobbie Warren and Kevin Denson of Nevada City; daughter, Shirley Jackson of Coos Bay, Ore.; son, Terry Warren of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Betty Warren of Eugene, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Paul Warren in 2002; and grandson, Shawn Louis Sharp in 1996.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Karuk Tribe, P.O. Box 1016 Happycamp, CA 96039.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
