Barbara Obiedo

Memorial services for Barbara C. Obiedo of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. Pastor Sam Floyd will officiate the services.

Ms. Obiedo died Saturday, Feb. 4, in Grass Valley. She was 73.

She was born April 17, 1932, in Manteca to Elden and Genevieve Plouff. She had a degree in bookkeeping. She owned and operated a catering deli for 24 years in Benicia. After moving to Grass Valley, she cooked at the Lutz Center. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, travel, and antique collecting.



She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Karie Peltzer of Grass Valley; daughter, Janice Green of Benicia; brother, Bob Plouff of Vacaville; and grandchildren Chase and Dakota Peltzer and Courtney Cruz all of Grass Valley, and Darbie Logue of Sparks, Nev. She was preceded in death by her father, Elden Plouff in 1986; daughter; Judy Logue in 2005; sister, Beverly Boutisbaugh in 2005; and step-mother, Ida Plouff in 1991.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
