Barbara Allen

A celebration of life for Barbara Jeanne Allen of Nevada City will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Corralitos Women’s Club, 33 Browns Valley Road in Corralitos.

Mrs. Allen died Saturday, Feb. 12, in Nevada City. She was 78.

She was born Aug. 9, 1926, in Fullerton, to Hyrum and Edna Baker Church. She worked as a alcohol and drug counselor. She was a member of the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors. She enjoyed traveling, reading and dancing.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Barbara Allen and Robert Hasbrouck of San Jose, and Kim Allen and Cliff Ramos of Nevada City; son and daughter-in-law, James and Rangsima Allen of Uthai Thani, Thailand; grandchildren, Jelena Hasbrouck of Arcata, Kailyn Hasbrouck of Santa Cruz, Max, Maya and Scout Ramos all of Nevada City, Rosalinda and John Scott Allen both of Uthai Thani, Thailand; sister, Ramona Church of Salt Lake City, Utah; nieces Carl and Linda; and nephews Hal Jr. and Jack. She was preceded in death by her son, William Paul Allen.

Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
