Avoid the circus

Please don’t take your family to any circus that uses animals.

These are captive animals who endure much suffering in their training to amuse you. Many of the trainers use bull hooks on elephants. They appear to have tough skins, but some trainers cruelly prod them until the animals scream.

Do you think it is natural for this large animal to stand on its head or normal for a big cat to jump through fire? They are forced to perform these unnatural acts. They are not happy being caged in small quarters and always in fear of trainers.

There are many outfits that use human beings who are talented and happy to take chances. This year, somebody named Bello is doing daring tricks for Barnum and Bailey/Ringling Bros. A human being can make his own decisions; the animals are forced.

Please reconsider your choice about attending the circus now or in the future.
