Auditions to be held for two plays

Auditions for adult roles in two area productions will be held shortly.

V-Day Nevada County will hold auditions for the benefit performance of “The Vagina Monologues” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. Peggy Dart directs this play, which will benefit the Silver Springs High School Foundation.

Auditions are open to women of all ages and all levels of acting experience. Those auditioning will read from the script. For more information, call Andrea Fox at 265-8648.



In addition, FUBAR Theater will have auditions Feb. 11 and Feb. 12 for “Pieces of Us,” a comedy with music and dramatic commentary, dealing with violence, prejudice and war.

Written by FUBAR Associate Director Justin Ove and directed by Artistic Director Alexi Bonifield, “Pieces of Us” has roles for 10 men ages 18 and up and one woman at least 19 years old.




Auditions will be 7 p.m. at Center for the Arts’ black box theater. “Pieces of Us” will debut May; the production will benefit the Peace Center of Nevada County.
