Auction and dance to benefit Magnolia Intermediate

Dance, eat and buy stuff for a good cause at the second annual Bid N Boogie “Made In the Shade” Auction and Dance, an event that benefits Magnolia Intermediate School.

Held Saturday at the Alta Sierra Country Club, the event includes both live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle, appetizers and dessert, a no-host bar and music by “The Torpedoes.” Doors open at 7 p.m. and silent auction tables will begin closing an hour later. The evening lasts until 11 p.m.

Goodies include a variety of home remodeling services, Kings and Rivercats tickets, a trip to Maui for up to four, and a private “behind the scenes” tour of Google, including lunch and roundtrip transportation by chartered airplane. Proceeds will support “Project Pride,” the school’s quad redesign project to update and enhance the school’s lunch area.

Make reservations for $25 per person online at http://www.pleasantridge.k12.ca.us or go to Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters, Combie Road, Grass Valley. The country club is located at 11897 Tammy Way in Grass Valley. Call Shana Laursen at 269-1231 for more information.
