Auburn man arrested for alleged sexual assault

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 28-year-old Auburn man Monday evening for allegedly sexually assaulting his Grass Valley ex-girlfriend and keeping her a prisoner in his car in a secluded area the night before.

Ryan Alexander Gardinier, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, violating a court order to prevent domestic violence, oral copulation and false imprisonment.

His bail was set at $25,000.
