Attempted abduction suspect’s car seen in school area

A “be on the lookout” alert was issued Friday morning for a vehicle that was similar to the one used in an attempted abduction of a nine-year-old girl March 24 in front of Lyman Gilmore Middle School.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office issued the alert after a Gilmore student reported seeing a faded green Chevrolet Thursday possibly circling in front of the school.

Anyone seeing the car should call the sheriff’s office at 265-1471.
