Arthur Shultz

Arthur Robert Shultz, 79, of Nevada City died Tuesday, June 22, in Grass Valley.

No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Shultz was born Sept. 9, 1924, in San Francisco, to Arthur and Florence (Yeoman) Shultz. He graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco in 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Core from 1942-1946. He married Lucille on Sept. 10, 1946, in Reno, Nev. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, and worked at Hanson Concrete Products for 20 years. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and enjoyed all sports. He also enjoyed traveling, history of World War II, and trips to Tahoe.



He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucille R. Shultz of Nevada City; sons Ron R. Shultz of Redwood City, and Larry S. Shultz of Fremont; daughter, Susan E. Shultz of Mountain View; grandson, Christopher S. Shultz of Sacramento; and granddaughter, Stacy A. Tran of Sacramento. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Olivia G. Tran.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
