‘Art of Meditation’ classes beginning

There is wall art. There are the performing arts. Now there is the art of meditation. Certainly, many agree that learning to quiet one’s mind can be most helpful to the creative spirit.

Margo Cooper of Mountain Stream Meditation Center invites people new to meditation (as well as those who are seasoned) to join her at the Stillpoint Studio, 300 Sierra College Way (Suite 155), Grass Valley, for a six-week course in beginning meditation. The course, which will consist of instruction, practice and discussion, starts at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and continues through April 2. The fee is $30 for the series.

Cooper, an experienced teacher, says the practice of meditation cultivates tranquility, concentration and open-heartedness, and she encourages people to attend all the sessions.
