Art, music, dance fusing in GV

Trance.Zen.Dance performs tonight at Center for the Arts.

Tonight, Trance.Zen.Dance brings its “electro-organic” fusion of art, music and dance to the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.

Trance.Zen.Dance is a collective of musicians and performance artists from Northern California and the Lake Tahoe area.



Instruments they use include a digital sampler, djembes, congas, tablas, steel drums, flutes, saxophone, crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos and bells.




The show is from 8 to 10 p.m. and will be broadcast live by KVMR (89.5 FM). Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Guitarist Tony Unger, who is featured on the group’s CD, “Remembering Our Future,” will be the special guest.

Tickets are $12 for KVMR members and $14 for nonmembers.
