Applicants sought for traffic advisory committee

The Nevada County Transit Services Commission is seeking applications from persons residing in western Nevada County who are interested in serving on a Transit Citizens Advisory Committee.

The advisory committee will provide input to the Transit Services Commission on public transit services, including the Gold Country Stage fixed-route bus service and the paratransit service for persons with disabilities provided by Gold Country Telecare, Inc. The committee will consist of members of the business community, community organizations, general public, and users of the transit and paratransit services. The committee is expected to meet at least quarterly at a time and place to be determined by the membership.

Residents who are interested in helping to improve public transit services in western Nevada County are encouraged to apply. Applications may be obtained from the Nevada County Transit Services Division at 13081 John Bauer Ave. in Grass Valley (at the Nevada County Airport), or by calling 477-0103, ext. 1004.

Applications can also be downloaded from the Gold Country Stage Web site at http://www.goldcountrystage.com online. Applications will be accepted through the close of business on Feb. 24.
