APPLE meeting: global warming and water supply

How will global warming impact local water supplies?

That question and more will be addressed at a Town Hall meeting by Alliance for a Post-Petroleum Local Economy (APPLE) at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 246 S. Church St. Grass Valley.

Local Hydro-Geologist, Steve Baker, will give a multi-media presentation on how global warming and current social structure threaten the basic water supply. He’ll also discuss ways people can work to preserve water supplies.

Representatives of Wolf Creek Community Alliance, other watershed groups, and water agencies including Nevada Irrigation District will be present during a public discussion period.
