Another Catholic’s view

I am writing in regards to the letter regarding Kerry and abortion. Senator Kerry is pro-choice, not pro-abortion. There are many Catholics who feel the same way about abortion. I also don’t feel we have the right to impose the Catholic doctrine on abortion on the other citizens of the U.S.

The [writers of a letter, “Kerry and Catholicism”] obviously feel otherwise. They felt they had the right to put a note in the St. Canice bulletin trying to force their opinions on the congregation at St. Canice. I took great offense at being told who to vote for at church. The church has no right to tell their parishioners who to vote for. They may want to base their vote on one issue. However, informed voters know there are many important issues at stake in this election.

As far as Bush having integrity, he has lied over and over again to the voters. I wouldn’t call that integrity.
