Holiday Lights at Gilroy Gardens and Barrangos, Dec. 12 and 13: Get into the holiday spirit with a visit to Gilroy Gardens when it’s all lit up for Christmas. First we have a delicious holiday dinner with turkey, ham, and all the traditional “fixins” including dessert. Then you’re in for a treat as you stroll among the holiday displays and lights on an easy well-lit path. You can take your time and take in all the sights as the park closes at 9 p.m.
We’re staying overnight at a Holiday Inn in Gilroy.
The next day we tour Barrango in South San Francisco, where they make holiday decorations and Christmas trees for shopping centers, malls, civic buildings and more. A very special event added on day two.
“SHEN YUN” at the Sacramento Community Theater, Jan. 14: At last, after years of trying to buy tickets, Hallie was able to get us good seats for this world class show.
Through the universal language of music and dance, this performance takes you on a journey through 5000 years of Chinese culture. It features a philharmonic orchestra. Stunning costumes, as well as the world’s foremost classically trained dancers you will ever see.
Lunch included before show.
