Roadrunners of Nevada County

Oct. 18: Apple Hill. This Roadrunner favorite trip includes barbecue chicken lunch with apple pie a la mode at High Hill Ranch.

You also get an apple fritter to go.

Then we’ll tour some orchards and visit craft vendors along the way. 7:30 a.m. Park & Ride, 8 a.m. SPD.

Dec. 4 and 5: Beach Blanket Babylon.

Tour includes overnight accommodations at the Radisson Fisherman’s Wharf, Show ticket, lunch a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on Pier 39, breakfast day on day two. Free time for shopping.

Feb. 23 through March 1, 2014: Death Valley and Las Vegas. One night at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Bakersfield including breakfast. Two nights at Treasure Island, Las Vegas including one dinner buffet. Night Light Tour on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Two nights at the Furnace Creek Resort Inn with daily breakfast, BBQ dinner “Under the Stars” first night. Dinner in Oasis Room second night. One full day of Pink Jeep Trekking including boxed lunch.

Nevada County Travel Club

Sixty-one members of the Nevada County Travel Club cruised from San Francisco to Alaska in June, cruising the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay and visiting the ports of Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, B.C. Day tours and longer land tours and cruises are available to residents of Nevada County, friends and family. Phone tour director Brenda Shilling at 530-432-5301 for information.

Tours now available for reservations include:

New England Colors of Fall: Oct. 9 through 16. Tour includes round-trip air from Sacramento to Boston, roundtrip shuttles to/from airports, land tour including sites/sights in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, some gratuities.

These tours do fill so early reservations are encouraged.

California Coastal Cruise: Oct. 19 through 26. Cruise Princess’s Grand Ship under the Golden Gate and “hang a left” to the Pacific Ports of Santa Barbara, Long Beach, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico. Never cruised before? What a great, inexpensive cruise to get started with, no flights, no passports, no worries! Cruise veteran? What a great, inexpensive cruise to relax and leave the planning to us — includes shuttle to and from San Francisco pier.

Celebrate the new year with us Dec. 29 through Jan. 2, 2014, at the famous Pasadena Rosebowl parade! Tour includes Long Beach Westin Hotel accommodations, some meals, reserved float viewing pre-parade, Bandfest, reserved seats at the parade, visit to The Getty Museum and a Gala New Year’s Eve Celebration, all with a guide to ease us through the traffic and crowds!!

Airport shuttles and roundtrip air Sacramento to Long Beach will be arranged for you.
