Nov. 18, Mannheim Steamroller: Grammy Award winner Chip Davis has created a show that features the beloved Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller along with dazzling multimedia effects. The spirit of the season comes alive with the signature sound of Mannheim Steamroller music. Trip includes transportation, driver gratuity and lunch at Uno’s Chicago Grill before the 2 p.m. performance at the Gallo Center in Modesto.

Dec. 5, Singing Christmas Tree: The Singing Christmas Tree is presented by Capital Christian Center. This year’s presentation is entitled, Christmas in the City. Trip includes transportation, driver gratuity, show ticket and dinner at the Spaghetti Factory in Roseville, after the 1 p.m. performance.

Jan. 26: Sacramento Aerospace and Railroad museums. More information to come.

Feb. 14, Band of the Royal Marines: Featuring the Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers of the Scots Guard. Dinner will be at FAT’s Asia Bistro in Folsom. Sign-up sheet available at the October potluck.

Aug. 15-19, 2016, Pageant of Masters: Some of the highlights inlcude Coast Starlight train, Pageant, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Medieval Times show, Catalina Island. More information to come.

Nevada County Travel Club

The Nevada County Travel Club, Inc. has been providing travel experiences to county residents, friends and family for over 30 years. We provide monthly lunch meetings with travel programs, monthly newsletters, and frequent tours of all lengths. Upcoming tours:

Decemer 16 and 17: Ebenezer at the El Dorado. Tour includes roundtrip coach Grass Valley to Reno, cocktail party, buffet dinner, reserved seats at performance, breakfast, taxes, gratuities and luggage handling. The classic Christmas Carol Story is presented with purity of script and the music providing a spiritual lifting of the soul with lessons of love and humor.

December 2 through 6: Our Santa Fe Holiday is sold out at this time however we will honor waitlist requests to fill cancellations: roundtrip air from Sacramento with roundtrip airport shuttle, four nights at Inn of the Governors and tours including sites in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Taos.

March 13 through 17, 2016: San Antonio and Texas Hill Country. We will explore San Antonio from the Omni La Mansion del Rio Hotel on the famous RiverWalk. Tour includes roundtrip shuttle to Sacramento Airport, roundtrip air, accommodations, some meals and tours and sightseeing visiting San Antonio highlights (ie The Alamo, Missions, Mercado etc) and Hill Country LBJ Ranch, Fredricksburg, Dude Ranch with performance and meal, Cowboy Capitol of U.S. and more.

April 10 through 15, 2016: Southern California and Queen Mary getaway. We will explore top sites/sights in the L.A. basin from the Queen Mary Hotel accommodations. Tour includes roundtrip airport shuttle, roundtrip air, hotel, some meals and tours to: city tours of Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Pasadena Old Town and Rosebowl, Rodeo Drive and Hollywood Walk of Fame, Warner Brothers Studio, the Getty Center. One day of leisure to pursue your interests or optional tour to Catalina.

Golden Empire Sam’s RV Group

Our July outing was held at Woodson Bridge in Corning and our August was at Gold Beach, Oregon, to ride the jet boats on the Rogue River. In September our outing was to Redding, on the Sacramento River. Our outings are usually the week containing the second Wednesday of the month. We have enjoyed the wonderful weather and have had several short tours under our belt. On April 25, we traveled to Timbuctoo and Smartsville Pioneer Days.
