Nevada County Travel Club
We meet the second Wednesday of every month at the United Methodist Church of Grass Valley. A three-course lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. with time for tour sign ups, payments and socializing beforehand. A travel program follows lunch. All are welcome to attend, get to know the members and tour with the groups. To make a reservation, call Pat at (530) 274-9565.
Day trips and longer cruises and tours are planned for members throughout the year. Information is available from our Tour Director, Brenda Shilling at (530) 432-5301.
Join our groups on the following tours:
April 4-16: England’s Treasures: Lake District, Cornwall and the Cotswolds with three nights in London.
May 30 through June 8: Alaska Cruising round-trip from Grass Valley to San Francisco pier through the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay to Ports of Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria.
Oct. 9-16: Colors of New England: Round-trip Grass Valley to Boston then on to the charming and vibrant northern states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Feb. 5-7: YOSEMITE/TENAYA LODGE. Includes bus transportation and driver tip, two nights at the Tenaya Lodge, hosted dinner at the lodge on the first night, one dinner and two breakfasts, and hosted lunch at the Ahwanee Lodge in Yosemite Valley. 7:30 a.m. Park & Ride, 8 a.m. SPD.
March 16: TURMOIL AT PROFESSOR MING’S MANSION. Those who saw last year’s show will love the sequel as the saga continues in this bilingual operatic play. Includes lunch at Cathay House in Chinatown. 7:30 Park & Ride, 8 a.m. SPD.
Apr. 28: SOUTHERN CHARM. Trip features Charleston, Savannah, Jekyll Island, Jacksonville, and more. We will be immersed in southern antebellum charm and hospitality. Fly to Charlotte and fly home from Jacksonville. This is a Collette trip and is currently full. Call Hallie to be placed on the wait list. Transportation to and from the airport will be provided by Collette but SPD will be the only pick up and drop off location.

Golden Empire Sams RV Club
The club camp out of Nov. 11 -15 was hosted by Roger and Marilyn Lilly at the Feather Falls Casino KOA in Oroville. Eleven rigs were represented with one guest rig joining the camp out.
The event included games, potluck dinners and a brief business meeting that included a freewill donation to Cancer Aid and a final local dinner outing.
