Golden Empire Sam’s RV Group

The club camp-out of Nov. 10 to 14 was hosted by Len and Pat Fuson at the Feather Falls Casino KOA in Oroville.

The event included games and potluck dinners.

A brief business meeting was held on Wednesday with a local dinner outing afterwards.

We meet Monday to Thursday on the second week of the month with luncheons held in December, January and February.

We are a friendly group and welcome new members.

Roadrunners of Nevada County

Las Vegas and Death Valley, Feb. 23 to March 1: Lunch at Hilmar Cheese Factory, one night at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Bakersfield, including breakfast on the way to Las Vegas.

Two nights at Treasure Island in Las Vegas including one dinner buffet.

Take a Night Light Tour on Fremont Street in Las Vegas.

Two nights at the Furnace Creek Ranch Resort with daily breakfast and barbecue dinner “under the stars” on the first night, dinner in Oasis Room the second night.

One full day of Pink Jeep Trekking including boxed lunch. Enjoy a tour of Scotty’s Castle in Death Valley. Stay one Night at Creek Side Inn in Bishop including breakfast.

Visit Manzanar Historical Site and stop at Erik Schat’s Bakery before heading home.

Transportation, and all gratuities are included.

Wonder Valley, March 31 to April 3:

Located 45 minutes east of Fresno, Wonder Valley seems like worlds away, nestled in the foothills near the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park.

It’s an all-inclusive guest ranch with many outdoor activities including bicycle riding, horseback riding, boating and more.

We’ll be doing two off-site excursions as well. Cost of the trip includes motor coach transportation, driver gratuity, lodging, all activities and admissions, all meals  except lunch on the way there and back and two cocktails of your choice per day.  This is a fun place to spend time with a fun group of people.

May 15 through 15: Santa Barbara, “America’s Riviera.”

Nevada County Travel Club

Sixty-one members of the Nevada County Travel Club cruised from San Francisco to Alaska in June, cruising the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay and visiting the ports of Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, B.C.

Day tours and longer land tours and cruises are available to residents of Nevada County, friends and family.

Rose Bowl Parade: Celebrate the new year with us Dec. 29 through Jan. 2, 2014, at the famous Pasadena Rose Bowl parade.
