Book Buddy Program for Nevada County Libraries!

Come be a part of a unique and personal program that provides home bound patrons opportunities for socialization, intellectual stimulation, and sharing of interests! After an initial background check, Book Buddy volunteers are paired with a home bound library patron who enjoys reading but is unable to get to the library. This opportunity consists of developing a relationship with the patron and supplying and returning library materials on a schedule that works for both people. Both the patron and the volunteer suggest titles. The visits are conducted in the home of the patron. A six-month commitment is required.
