PiELL is seeking executive board members to serve as Treasurer and Secretary, and also for board directors at large to serve as grant writers (we will train you for each of these areas). Board membership involves participation in quarterly board meetings, committees, and fundraising activities. Skills Required Training provided. Grant writing experience would be a plus. Create life changing connections through the telephone

If you are compassionate, enjoy friendly conversation and look forward to “making someone’s day,” we may have the volunteer job for you! Under the guidance of RSVP staff, we are looking for volunteers to take one shift a week; either in the morning (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) or afternoons (12:30 to 4 p.m.) to call local seniors that have signed up to participate in our Telephone Reassurance Program. Many of the volunteers with this program say they get as much out of the experience as the senior being called. Volunteers will also be making appointments for various community events. It is “on the job training;” you will need to be comfortable speaking on the phone and have some general computer skills. Your help will make a difference in many people’s lives – guaranteed.
