Unity in the Gold Country
Join us this Sunday when Rev. Jerry Farrell continues our seven week program, “The 52 Codes for Conscious Self Evolution.” His talk for Week #3 of the series is “Our Soul’s Calling.” Music by Brenda Boston and Garieal Clark. Mountain Stream Meditation Center
Our Buddhist Insight Meditation group meets every Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Mountain Stream Meditation Center, 710 Zion St., Nevada City.
On October 27, Mountain Stream teacher Heather Sundberg will lead a silent meditation followed by a talk. Please carpool.

Grace Lutheran Church
Reformation activities are gearing up at Grace Lutheran Church, located, at 1979 Ridge Road in Grass Valley. We will be celebrating the 497th anniversary of the Reformation this year with two Sunday celebrations. On Sunday, October 26 Grace is pleased to host The Rev. Dr. Lawrence Rast as our special preacher and teacher. The Reformation service begins at 9 a.m. and Dr. Rast will also teach at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Rast is a noted historian and professor and was recently named President of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Grace will continue its Reformation activities on Sunday, November 2 with a Reformation Celebration Party from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a potluck dinner along with a myriad of games and activities for children, including a chance to meet Martin Luther himself. Grace will also be assembling and packaging up shoeboxes for the “Operation Christmas Child” mission work done by Samartian’s Purse during the party. Wednesdays: Join our open Wednesday Meetings for sharing about healing from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. After hearing verses from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy on a theme, participants are invited to share personal examples of Christian healing and gratitude for God’s care. The meeting is followed by greeting and fellowship.
Sundays: Stop by any Sunday at 10 a.m. to visit our weekly worship service centered on a sermon directly from the Bible and Science and Health. A Sunday School is held at the same time where students up to the age of 20 learn all about the Bible and how to apply its timeless spiritual lessons in their lives (childcare is provided).

The Healing Rooms of Nevada County
We pray for healing of body and spirit. Everyone is welcome whether they attend church or not. Pray Nevada County
We seek God on behalf of our communities. Open to all for prayer, Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries. Grass Valley United Methodist Church
We are presenting “Living The Questions” on Saturdays through Nov. 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Living the Questions is an introduction to progressive Christianity. It is presented in a video-discussion format featuring 33 progressive theologians. It is an open-minded alternative to studies that attempt to give participants all the answers. LTQ creates an environment where participants interact with each other in exploring the best of today’s progressive theological thought. Walk-ins are welcome to all sessions.
