Holy Wisdom, Nevada City
Orthodoxy. Christianity. Only Tougher. Means a true and uncompromising self-knowledge that each of us is desperately sick with sin, that we cannot heal ourselves, and that the healing we each need awaits those who know they have no basis on which to justify themselves. We can only come begging God’s mercy.

Special music will be by Weisse, Hallock, Morley, and Holland, as well as traditional Gregorian Chants. A medieval ambiance will be accentuated by tolling bells and an array of 96 candles.
Eucharistic services are celebrated every Sunday at 8, 9:15 and 10:30 a.m, with full music and Sunday school for children during the latest one. Father Christopher Seal and Father Brad Helmuth alternate acting as celebrant and giving the homily. Find mystical spirituality and warm friendship while worshiping at Trinity Church. The community is invited to join together in The Community Harvest Hymn Festival at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 at the Grass Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church. Music and singing originated with the creation of the first intelligent beings. During the creation of this world, “The morning stars sang together (angels) and all the sons of God shouted for joy” (Job 38:7). It is probably true that every person likes some form of music and that music and singing is good for the soul.
We will sing and read together of the harvest taking place during these end times according to the Bible. As time transitions into eternity, there is a lot we can know as revealed by One who cannot lie. We especially invite those who don’t go to church or those who have not sung hymns since childhood. Come and renew those memories. We sing to give thanksgiving and praise for life, blessings and victories in our God. Believing the promises of God and singing about them to Him is the best remedy for the blues, despondency or depression. If we will sing when we don’t feel like it, a lifted heart and head will follow the lips and voices of singing praise together.
So mark your calendars and come and sing together, come as you are; come and receive a blessing; come and be a blessing. Everyone welcome, admission is free and a light supper will be served following the program. For more information call 530-477-5017 or visit http://www.gvadventist.com/hymnfest.
