Sierra Center for Spiritual Living

Brother, can you spare an … hour?
A group of local men meets from 6 to 7 a.m. Thursdays at Penny’s Diner for breakfast. Under the banner of “Christian Business Men’s Committee,” we have breakfast, read a portion of scripture, share what God has done in our life and pray. Penny’s Diner is located at 2072 Nevada City Highway in the B&C Fowler Center in Grass Valley.
We are a Christian cancer support group that meets at Foothill Church. Those with serious chronic illnesses, including cancer, and their care givers are encouraged to come and share in a safe environment concerning this difficult time. Christian Science Church
The Bible and the Christian Science textbook are our only preachers. Each Sunday the Scriptural texts and their correlative passages comprise our sermons. First Baptist Church of Nevada City
This Sunday, Pastor Ralph will begin a series on “Grace,” with a message on “The Gracious God of the Old Testament.” Some who have just a cursory understanding of the Bible have tagged the God of the Old Testament as judgmental and cruel, in contrast with the God of the New Testament as loving. Not so. From Hosea 3, Pastor Ralph will explain how the Old Testament clearly teaches God’s graciousness towards his erring people.
