‘Illuminated Landscape’ editors to host presentation, signing event

The editors of the Sierra Nevada literature anthology “The Illuminated Landscape” are planning a book-signing event in Grass Valley on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

Starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Sierra College Library, Gary Noy and Rick Heide will offer a visual presentation and reading from their book, which reprints Sierra history going back to the indigenous Maidu and Washoe people through to Mark Twain and contemporary authors, including Nevada County’s Jordan Fisher Smith.

The event is open to the public and costs $5 for general admission, $3 for seniors and free to students. The college’s library is at 250 Sierra College Drive.
