E-waste benefits boarders

Junk computers, CD players, television sets and other electronic stuff can be safely recycled – for free – at Nevada Union High School on Saturday.

The NU Snowboard Team Booster Club will host an e-waste recycling drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in the parking lot by the Don Baggett Theater.

They also can take microwave ovens, monitors, printers, copiers, scanners, CDs and DVDs, magnetic tape (such as VHS and Beta), VCRs, cellular telephones and toner cartridges.

They cannot accept light bulbs or anything containing freon.

For more in formation, contact Steve Olson at (530) 913-3889.

Recyclables go to AERC Recycling; learn more at http://www.aercrecycling.com
