Annette Gillett

Annette Gillett, 99, of Grass Valley died Sunday, March 27, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.

Mrs. Gillett was born Dec. 17, 1905, in Los Angeles to George Damron and Florence Helm. She received a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley. She married Cecil Gillett on June 15, 1934. She was a retired teacher; she taught at Central Union High School, El Central and Imperial Valley College. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, American association of University Women, the League of Women Voters and the Nevada County Democratic Central Committee.



She is survived by her son, C. Lucky Gillett of Nevada City; granddaughter, Shannon Gillett-Moore of Auburn; great-grandson, Sean Moore of Auburn; and great-granddaughter, McKenna Moore of Auburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Gillett.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society.
