Anne Thomsen

Graveside services for Anne Jane Thomsen will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery on Highway 99 in Gridley.

Mrs. Thomsen died Friday, Jan. 20, in Stockton. She was 80.

She was born July 14, 1925, in Durham County, England, to Herbert Proud and Barbara Sanderson. She attended grade school and art college. She married Roy H. Thomsen on July 9, 1947. She was a member of the Nevada City Ward LDS church, and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.



She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Jillian and Bruce Campbell of Stockton, and Patsy and Larry Rieger of Grass Valley; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jon and Melissa Campbell of Stockton; granddaughters Rebecca Rieger and Kristen Rieger both of Grass Valley; and great-grandchildren Christian and Taylor Campbell both of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Thomsen in November 2004.

Memorial contributions may be made to children’s charity of the donor’s choice.




Arrangements are under the direction of Sorenson’s Mortuary in Chico.
