Anna Stone

Anna Louise Stone, 85, of Grass Valley died Monday, Oct. 7, in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Stone was born Feb. 7, 1917, in Berryville, Ark., to Ebben and Anna (Fine) Jett. She attended schools near Berryville. She married Edward S. Stone there on Dec. 7, 1944.



She had lived in Nevada County since 1959. She was self-employed as a domestic and home health care aide. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons Curt Stone of Colville, Wash., and Tim Stone of Nevada City; brother Dale Jett of Arkansas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; parents in 1945; and 11 brothers and sisters.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
