Amilda Moebus

Amilda Moebus, 84, of Penn Valley died Friday, Aug. 9, in Penn Valley.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.



Mrs. Moebus was born Oct. 25, 1917, in Sutter City to Albert and Marie (Helend) Pederson. She married Rialto R. Moebus on Nov. 4, 1936, in Yuba City.

She wa a candle maker for over 25 years. She enjoyed walking her dog and television game shows.




She is survived by her sons Kenneth R. Moebus of Australia and Dennis R. Moebus of Penn Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Pennie R. and Tom Hanlon of Penn Valley; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law Wendy and Mario Mallegni of San Bruno and Tracy and Daryl Dobson of Morro Bay; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law Tom and Colleen Hanlon of San Carlos, Robert and Jenny Hanlon of Roseville, and Mickey and Anna Glackin of Salt Lake City; granddaughter Karen Murtaugh of Herber City, Utah; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
