Americana group to perform at this week’s Friday Market

Nevada County-based Americana group Bodhi Busick & The World Leaders will be the featured act at this week’s Grass Valley Friday Market.

Busick writes songs about individuals he meets during his travels in the western United States to the Zapatista villages of Chiapas, Mexico. After Friday’s performance, the next set gig is Sept. 2 when Busick and fellow band member Travers Clifford kicks off the Strawberry Music Festival in Camp Mather, Yosemite.

Friday’s local festival on Mill and Main streets includes a certified farmer’s market, art and craft vendors, a health fair and food booths from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

The free market runs Fridays through Sept. 3.

Call Grizzly Hill Productions at 265-9495 or the Grass Valley Downtown Association at 272-8315 for any questions about the Grass Valley Friday Market.
