"Amazon Dream"

By Anna Randolph

X Libris

I was left speechless for two weeks after reading this highly absorbing narrative. It tells of the harrowing ordeal of a dauntless woman who was among the first females in the San Francisco Police Department.

She endured intense prejudice and resentment from the men on the force. With steely courage, she coped with the daily hazards of her duties on the streets of San Francisco.

Single-handedly, she overcame grave risks and overpowered men well beyond her physical build and size. Compassionate and kind, as well as deeply sensitive, she won the love and respect of many people who crossed her path. Awe and astonishment filled me as I realized how vast can be the unbreakable spirit of a dauntless woman.
