Alexander Klistoff Sr.

Services for Alexander John Klistoff Sr. were conducted Monday, Jan. 20, in Sacramento. Interment is in Sheridan.

Mr. Klistoff died Thursday, Jan. 16, in Grass Valley. He was 89.

He was born in San Francisco on Aug. 8, 1913. He raised his family in West Sacramento, where he was active in the Masonic Order and Shriners. He enjoyed welding and playing music on a leaf.



He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Manya and Ole Wik; son and daughter-in-law, Alex Klistoff, Jr., M.D. and Ronda Klistoff; sisters, Emily Atwood and Anna Cheremisina; grandchildren and spouses, Tuolumne and Mark Meier, John and Cassandra Zyss, and Kalle and Monica Wik; grandchildren, Alysa, Monica and Leanna Klistoff; and great-grandchildren, Trinity and Cody Meier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Hazel; and daughter, Dorene.
