Albert Sears

Memorial services for Albert R. Sears of Yuma, Ariz., will be conducted at noon Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grass Valley. Father Larry Beck will officiate the services.

Mr. Sears died Monday, Aug. 9, in Grass Valley. He was 74.

He was born June 10, 1930, in Michigan to Albert and Josephine. He graduated from high school in Arizona. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during World War II. He married Doris Marie Brandt on Oct. 3, 1951, in Bay City, Mich. He worked for Radio Corps of America (R.C.A.) and A.T.&T. telephone repair. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golf, fishing and traveling.



He is survived by his wife, Doris Sears of Yuma, Ariz.; sons Frank Sears of Idaho and Chuck, Steve and John Sears, all of California; mother and stepfather, Josephine and Francis Foucher of Grass Valley; sister, Louise Morley of California; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Sears Sr.; and brothers Charles, Bernard and Darrnell Sears.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
