Airport expansion possible

A proposal to build four new buildings housing 23 hangars for the Nevada County Airport will be presented to the Planning Commission at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rood Center, 950 Maidu Ave., in Nevada City.

American Pacific Holdings Inc., seeks to build one 9,700 square-foot building with three hangars. Three other buildings totaling 29,000 square feet would produce another 20 hangars.

Seven of the hangars can store two planes, bringing the total to 30 spaces to replace 28 existing outside tie-downs at the facility.
