Agnes Westlund

Private memorial services for Agnes Westlund, a longtime resident of Lake Wildwood, were conducted Sunday, Jan. 9.

Mrs. Westlund died Sunday, Jan. 2, in Sacramento. She was 90.

She was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Boise, Idaho. She graduated from the College of Idaho in Caldwell. She married Herbert Westlund in 1937 in Boise and worked as an elementary school teacher in Quartzberg, Idaho. After moving to the Bay area, she was involved and served as president of the PTA at the Walnut Creek Elementary School. After her husband’s retirement in 1971, they moved to Lake Wildwood. While living in Lake Wildwood, she was an avid bridge player, a member of three bridge groups and was active in community life.



She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy Westlund of Carmichael; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Arnold Valcour of Sacramento; daughter, Erin Westlund of Los

Gatos; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.




Memorial contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento or St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Mont.
