About The Union – Tour – Circulation

The circulation department assembles the final package that represents each day’s edition of The Union and gets it ready for the over a hundred carriers who deliver the newspaper from North San Juan to Perimeter Road.

Customer service representatives in the circulation department make sure deliveries arrive on time, papers are stopped when subscribers go on vacation, and carriers have enough plastic bags to protect The Union on rainy days.

By 6 a.m. every day, all 17,000 copies of The Union are in the hands of subscribers – and work is well under way on tomorrow’s edition.

The news rack that sells the most copies of The Union each day is located outside of Safeway in downtown Grass Valley. The rack outside the SPD store in Nevada City ranks second.
