A return to stop signs?

I was so surprised at how smoothly the situation was going. I was in a car and I was at the intersection of Sutton and Brunswick. The stop lights were constantly blinking, but the drivers knew what to do, and so they were calmly taking their turns. In fact, the traffic was moving faster without the lights than it moves when the lights are working.

Later, I found out that this had been going on since 6:30 a.m. or earlier.

Bingo. Maybe we should go back to using the stop signs again. If something is working, then why correct it?
