A horrifying experience lies in wait for the courageous

For the 10th year, it’s back to scare you cross-eyed. Dr. Mortis’ House of Horrors sets up shop at the LOVE Building at Condon Park in Grass Valley. Zombies, an electric chair, a full crypt, insane asylum escapees and a graveyard where some of Dr. Mortis’ more unfortunate patients (try) to rest in uneasy peace are part of this family entertainment presented by the Grass Valley Host Lions Club.

There is other stuff, too, such as a bounce house, face painting, candy and carnival games, all free. Refreshment costs are nominal.

This event takes place for five nights, 6-9 p.m., from Friday, Oct. 27, through Tuesday, Halloween, $5 in advance (from Raleys Grass Valley, a Lions Club member or a Nevada Union drama student) or $7 at the crypt door. It is not recommended for young children. The Haunted House is for children 8 and up. Condon Park is at 660 Minnie St.

Contact Dr. Mortis (Chris Navo) at 272-0554 or go online at http://www.drmortis.com for more information, especially if the weather is bad.
