3:00pm Update: Aanestad says turnout "fabulous"

After voting at his Alta Sierra polling venue, Sam Aanestad said he was satisfied with today’s election.

“I just checked with the people inside and they said there’s been a heavy turnout,” said a smiling Aanestad, the local state assemblyman now running for state senate. “That’s fabulous.”

That was at 2 p.m., when the polls had already been open seven hours.

“If the average person wants input, they need to vote. It looks like they are,” Aanestad said.
