10 to play at final piano institute show

Ten Gold Country Piano Institute students will perform Friday in the last of three concerts in the institute’s spring concert series.

Among the students is Jennifer Fowler, 15, and a Nevada Union High School freshman. This is Fowler’s third year at the institute’s two-week intensive class in Nevada City.

The other students are from Poland, Vietnam and throughout the United States.

The concert is at Miners Foundry Cultural Center, 325 Spring St., Nevada City.

Admission is $25 general and $20 for students. Tickets are at Harmony Books, The Book Seller and Odyssey Books.

Concert proceeds go to the nonprofit Gold Country Piano Institute. Call 274-1438 to buy tickets by credit card or with any questions.
