Pleasantly Purim

The Chabad of Grass Valley celebrated Purim last month with their Spread The Joy party, held at the Foothills Event Center in Grass Valley. The event featured a community dinner, Megillah reading and community drum circle with Yari Mander.

Purim is a Jewish festival held in the spring to commemorate the defeat of Haman’s plot to massacre the Jews as recorded in the book of Esther. Traditionally, it is a joyous celebration with celebrants often dressing in costume.

The Chabad of Grass Valley will hold a Community Seder on April 19. For more information visit
