Big Brothers Big Sisters Spring Shred coming soon to western Nevada County
Tax season is over and what about that unnecessary paperwork? Still lurking in your filing cabinets and in boxes in the garage? Big Brothers Big Sisters might be able to help.
From 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 27 — at the United Methodist Church, 236 South Church St. in Grass Valley — Big Brothers Big Sisters will have a giant shredding truck on site to assist in ridding of sensitive paperwork securely. (Please use the South School Street entrance.)
So while the community helps support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County, the organization is helping the community, too. No limit on the number of boxes.
A $10 contribution per box is suggested, and those banker’s boxes can hold a lot of paper.
Counting on Big Brothers Big Sisters
Nine million children in America are growing up without an answer to this question. They make everyday choices that lead up to life’s big decisions without enough guidance and support. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County is addressing this problem by matching caring adults and high school students with at-risk children in the community, providing a support system and a friend that these children need.
The Spring Shred fundraiser provides funding for programming that have proven results.
One hundred percent of shredded documents by Titan Shredding Services are recycled.
