WHAT: 2017 Nevada County Fair

WHEN: Aug. 9-13; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily

WHERE: Nevada County Fairgrounds, 11228 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley

ADMISSION: Adults: $9, seniors (65+), $6; Chidren (6-12) $4, (5 and under), free admission.

The Nevada County Fair is right around the corner with five full days of fun, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday and running till 11 p.m. everyday through Sunday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

The Carnival will open at 11 a.m. daily. Tickets are on sale now at a $6 special advance ticket price. Five-day fair passes are also available at $30.

Each day at the fair has a theme, as well as the overall “Sea you at the Fair” theme.

Wednesday is “Scholar Students’ Day,” which offers students who made Honor Roll free admission by invitation only (from the Superintendent of Schools).

Thursday is “Kid’s Day” where children under 12 enter for free until 5 p.m.

Friday is “Day for People with Disabilities” and admission is free to anyone who is disabled and one guest.

Saturday is a “Salute to Our Armed Services Day.” All active and retired military who show ID can enter for free.

Sunday is “Community Day” and fair-goers can purchase a $5 admission ticket until 5 p.m.
