Worth the drive: Marysville plays host to Peach Festival today

Attended by nearly 30,000 people every year, the Marysville Peach Festival is a free two-day street fair that has become a popular event known throughout the state. The 15th annual festival, which began Friday, continues from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today.

Beginning in 1999, the festival started off as a small celebration that soon grew to become a large event that accurately describes the atmosphere of historic Marysville.

Now celebrating its 15th year, the festival will show off this season’s fresh peaches picked from the Orchards of Yuba County.

Located on D Street in downtown Marysville, the Peach Festival provides family fun, food and entertainment. Parking and entrance into the event is free.
