Sierra Writers look at blogging

Sierra Writers will host a roundtable conversation with a panel of local writers on “Blogging Strategies for Writers” at its 6:30 p.m. Wednesday meeting at the Madelyn Helling Library. The event is free and open to the public.

For those thinking of starting a blog or who already have one, the panel will share tips for successful blogs and answer questions from participants. Examples of writing blogs will be demonstrated. Those who have a writing blog to share can email the link, as well as questions and topics of interest for the panel to cover, by Monday to sierrawriters@gmail.com. A follow-up workshop for writers on creating websites/blogs is planned for February.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with a five-minute writing prompt, a very short business meeting, followed by the panel conversation. Writers are invited to donate gently-used books of all genres for the “Buck-a-Book” table.

Sierra Writers provides a venue for writers of all genres, experience and expertise to meet, share and learn. Meetings are the second Wednesday of every month at 980 Helling Way, Nevada City. For information, visit sierrawriters.org or call 530-205-5068.
