‘Othello’ closes Synthetic Unlimited season

Synthetic Unlimited, Elly-award winning local theater company, closes its season at The Stonehouse with an experimental and contemporary version of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy “Othello” for six dates from Thursday, Oct. 17, to Oct. 27.

Video projections, guns, hip-hop and a live original score help tell the story of jealous Iago, who tricks his military superior, the general Othello, into believing that his innocent new wife has committed adultery. Blood ensues.

The Devil’s Train, a local punk rock band, or Melissa Ramsey, a local jazz singer, open with a free hour of music at 6:30 p.m. before every show.

The Stonehouse offers a full bar and delicious dinner menu. The play begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs for two hours with a short intermission.

Visit http://syntheticunlimited.org, the Briar Patch, or call 888-95-SHOWS to buy and reserve tickets.
