Nevada City Farmer’s Market — 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Nevada City on Union St. This is a weekly farmer’s market dedicated to local produce and community building! Refusing to be Enemies — 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., 246 S. Church Street, Grass Valley. “Refusing to Be Enemies: Palestinian and Israeli Resistance to the Israeli Occupation.” The Palestine-Israel working group of the Peace Center of Nevada County is hosting a presentation with photos, and book signing by Maxine Kaufman-Lacusta, a Jewish-Quaker, dual citizen of Canada and Israel, peace activist, and author. Nevada County Certified Growers’ Market — 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., North Star House, 12075 Old Auburn Road (about a half mile from Nevada County Fairgrounds – follow signs). Children’s Metal Yard Art with Jerry’s Tooling (9 – 11 a.m.) at this Saturday market. Children will be creating metal “bugs”- great fun! NEO Fest — noon – 10 p.m., 49er Fun Park , 314 Railroad Ave, Grass Valley. This is a celebration of NEO’s fifth anniversary and launch to start a Youth Center in Grass Valley. Tribe of the Red Horse — 7:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Miners Foundry, 325 Spring Street, Nevada City. Sacramento-based Tribe of the Red Horse celebrates the music of Neil Young and Crazy Horse by staying true to the music. Their goal is to deliver guitar tone, raw energy, and a wall of sound full of electricity and passion. The evening will feature a no host bar.
