Cinderella: Your carriage awaits in Grass Valley

“Cinderella” is coming to the Nevada County Performing Arts Guild at the Center for the Arts 7 p.m., Thursday, July 20, with additional performances the last two weekends in July.

The witty and touching musical is for audiences of all ages. The original music, with its captivating catchy tunes, is peppered throughout the entire play bringing to life the many characters in this beloved fairytale. The young actors will surprise and delight you with their acting and singing abilities. Allison Whiting and Orma Jean Forest play Cinderella on alternating days with beauty, grace and amazing talent.

Isaac Fassler plays the Prince with great flair and finesse while adding just the right amount of humor to brighten the day of any audience member. Surprises await with some characters as the evil stepmother and stepsisters present their characters with rollicking waves of hilarity, comparable to any professional or animated production.



The costumes created by Jeannine Watson, the set designed by Mila Johansen and the cast all promise to deliver an unforgettable “Cinderella” to Nevada County audiences.

A performance for all area summer schools, charter schools, home schools, small groups and families is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, with special $5 seats — adult or child. Call 530-277-7100 for reservations.
