The Women’s Writing Salon presents its Summer Salon, 3-5 p.m. Saturday at The Open Book (formerly Tomes).

As is the tradition since 2006, The Women’s Writing Salon is a seasonal series that showcases six established and emerging women writers in all genres with live readings from their work.

The Summer Salon features Judy Crowe, Magdalena Curtis, Lindsay Dunckel, Betsy Graziani Fasbinder, Donna Hanelin and Connie Hills.

From poetry to prose, to memoir and fiction, these six writers will read from new and completed works. Julie Valin, the new co-producer of the Women’s Writing Salon along with Joan Keyes, says, “We are excited to present this lineup of amazing women writers from our community who connect us to words and stories in their own unique and powerful ways.”

The event is open to the public, and there is a $5 suggested (but not mandatory) donation. The Open Book is located at 671 Maltman Drive, adjacent to Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters. For more information, contact Julie Valin at julie@thewordboutique.net.
